Living with pain is tough.
Its management not only gets in the way of you being able to do all the things you want to, but pain can make daily life really hard.
I understand this more than most people.
Hi, my name is Simonette and I am the founder of Habitual Therapy.
At the young age of 24, I was involved in a serious car accident that has changed my life forever.
Although very grateful to be alive, I was left with lifelong chronic musculoskeletal pain as well as some very debilitating side effects.
I have spent years along side some of Melbourne's top neurosurgeons, advocating for change when it comes to solutions for chronic pain.
Despite having three major surgeries on my lower back, I knew I needed to find a way to improve and assist my chronic pain which will remain with me for the rest of my life.

Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that it wasn't easy to find any sort of relief that did not include strong medications.
The side effects from these medications were detrimental to my physical and mental wellbeing.
I knew I needed to find another way to get through the day pain free.
Whether you struggle with a chronic condition, an old injury, or any other form of pain, infrared sauna has been shown to provide a natural, gentle relief.
For the past two years, and in conjunction with the care of my amazing chiropractor James,
I have found that infrared therapy not only assisted with my overall physical health, but greatly improved my mental health which was deeply affected by my injuries.
By using the infrared sauna frequently, I can feel a difference in my overall health.
My stress levels have lowered, my muscles relax, my mind is able to meditate and my sleep has greatly improved.
While everyone will find that infrared therapy will assist them in different ways, it is undoubtedly the most positive habit that I have incorporated into my daily routine.
It brings me great joy when my clients walk out of their sauna session with a look of relief and relaxation on their face.
Whether you use a sauna for pain management, muscle recovery or just for some alone time, you too will gradually see and feel the difference it will make to your life.
Having struggled for many years to find an aid for my pain,
I wanted to bring awareness to infrared therapy in hope that it will help many others to overcome chronic pain and other symptoms.
Alas, Habitual Therapy was born.
I am excited to share and encourage others to try this form of therapy and you too can make this a positive habit in your life.
